Discontinuation of Caller Line Identification Restriction (CLIR) Service

Following the MCMC instructions, we are required to discontinue our Caller Line Identity Restriction (CLIR) service. Effective 30th June 2023, this service will no longer be available. This is done to prevent users from being victimized by scams by unknown callers.

1. Why is the CLIR (Caller Line Identity Restrict) service being discontinued? 

The Malaysia Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has instructed telcos to discontinue CLIR service to prevent users from being victimized by scams due to unknown callers. This directive will take effect from 30th June 2023.

 

2. What is the impact to the users upon CLIR service discontinuation?

Users who are currently subscribed to CLIR service will experience their mobile number to be displayed when placing voice calls upon CLIR service discontinuation.

 

3. Will I be charged for the service if CLIR service is discontinued before my bill cycle?

Charges will be prorated based on your bill cycle till 30th June 2023.
